On this visit we will discover the medieval city of Girona, with a walk through the Old Town to see the Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter and its picturesque houses of a soft and delicate color along the river Onar. Then we will go to Figueras, birthplace of the surrealist artist Salvador Dali where we can visit the famous Dali Theatre-Museum which houses more than 1,500 works and curiosities of the artist. We continue the visit with Cadaques, which draws a picture in which the white houses, the sea and the mountainous terrain with capricious shapes are merged into a single image. Very close to Cadaques there is the town of Port Lligat, where Dali in 1930 decided to establish his residence and built his house on a fishermen hut. His house, now a museum, houses the studio where the painter made his most important works.
Costa Brava is the name given to the coast of Girona since 100 years ago, the name is due to its unique, rugged and rocky Coast composed of small coves surrounded by pine trees and lapped by crystal waters. The fame of the Costa Brava is due to its villages, small fishing villages, with white walls and narrow winding streets. Visit towns like Calella de Palafrugell, a small fishing village that still today retains the traditional look of the past. Pals, located on the top of a hill, is a medieval fort and offers wonderful views of the Costa Brava and its surroundings. Also we visit towns such as L'estartit, a coastal town with an important port and the Greek and Roman ruins of Empuries, located in a privileged area facing the sea.
